Sacrificing is a quality and it gives self-satisfaction by giving up our gains for others. The Scriptures say a lot about sacrifice.
Psalm 116:17
To You I shall offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving,
And call upon the name of the Lord.
Psalm 50:14
“Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving
And pay your vows to the Most High;
Genesis 4:4
Abel, on his part also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord had regard for Abel and for his offering;
Philippians 2:17
But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.
