Bishop Francisco Javier Acero Pérez, Auxiliary Bishop of the Primate Archdiocese of Mexico, received the blessing of a homeless man immediately after asking for it. The story is shared by the Archdiocese of Mexico on its Facebook account, “took everyone by surprise, both the people living on the streets”, as well as Fr. Sergio Ávila Alonzo and the members of the pastoral council of the Parish of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, from Colonia San Rafael.
The Bishop explained that this is possible because Jesus is also in them, when he was asked about why he sought a blessing from a homeless man.
“They also bless us, and that reminds us that Jesus is in them”, highlighted the Bishop originally from Spain, consecrated in November 2022
Jorge González Domínguez has been destitute for three years and assures that they threw him out of his house because his family did not like that he brought them the Word of God.
“My family kicked me out of the house because I brought them the word of God and Jesus, but they didn’t like that,” González said.
“They are atheists, one day they kicked me out of the house and no longer allowed me to return,” he lamented.
