12 Promises of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to his Devotees

Christ appeared to Saint Margaret Mary of Alacoque and transmitted a series of revelations to her, among them the 12 promises that he was going to grant to those who consecrated themselves to his Sacred Heart.

Saint Margaret of Alacoque related that she was praying before the Blessed Sacrament when for the first time the Lord communicated to her “the inexplicable secrets of his Sacred Heart.”

Then, in a second revelation, the saint said that Jesus communicated to her “the ardent desire he had to be loved by men and to separate them from the path of perdition, into which Satan precipitates them in great numbers,” and began to share with her the 12 promises he would make to devotees.

Saint Margaret explained that Christ wanted her to manifest “his Heart to men, with all the treasures of love, mercy, graces, sanctification and salvation that it contains,” so that those who give him love, honour and glory “may remain “enriched abundantly and profusely with the divine treasures of the Heart of God.”
