It’s a lot of fun but it’s a lot of parental responsibility. Every stage of a child’s development is a challenge for parents. But it can be replaced by devotion and faith in God.
St. Joseph, the foster father of Jesus, is one such person who has experienced much of the anxieties of fatherhood. St. Joseph did not even dare to understand his son or his mission. He thought that everything around him was for the better.
That is why parents who are traditionally concerned about their children dedicate their children to St. Joseph and ask for special care. Nothing can go unnoticed by the intercession of St. Joseph with faith.
Here is a short prayer for the intercession of St. Joseph.
O Most Holy St. Joseph, you, God the Father, have commissioned you to take care of Jesus in the midst of all the troubles of this world. Now I dedicate the children God has given us for your special protection. They are children of God and members of the church through baptism. Take care of them and guide them as your adopted children. Transform their hearts into the hearts of Jesus and the Holy Mother.
Father, who was hurt when Jesus disappeared, be the guardian of our children. Help them to grow in age and wisdom like Jesus in the favor of God and man. Protect them from the evils of the world. Provide them the gift of grace to move toward heaven. Amen.
