Pope Francis thus returned to part of his homily from June 25, 2022, at the 10th World Meeting of Families, when he lamented that “parents fear that their children will not be able to orient themselves in the complexity and confusion of our lives.” societies, where everything seems chaotic and precarious, and in the end they lose their way.”
“This fear makes some parents anxious, others overprotective, and sometimes it even ends up preventing the desire to bring new lives into the world,” he noted on that occasion.
