“We need the enthusiasm and ardor of young people to be witnesses of God!” exclaimed Pope Francis on the day of Saint Aloysius Gonzaga, patron saint of Christian youth.
Every June 21, the Catholic Church celebrates San Luis Gonzaga, patron saint of Christian youth and protector of young students.
For this reason, the official Twitter account of Pope Francis published a message related to young people.
“We need to dream, also as a Church, we need the enthusiasm and ardor of young people to be witnesses of God, who is always young!”, can be read in the message.
We need to dream, also as a Church, we need the enthusiasm and ardor of young people to be witnesses of God, who is always young!
It should be remembered that on June 21, 2020, Pope Francis entrusted the youth of the world to the intercession of Saint Aloysius Gonzaga, whom he described as “a boy full of love for God and neighbor.”
After the Angelus, the Pope greeted the young people and reminded this saint that “he died very young, here in Rome, because he took care of the plague patients. To his intercession I entrust the young people of the whole world, ”said Pope Francis.
