The Bible is the lifeblood of every Christian. It tells us what God has spoken to us. Therefore, we should encourage young people to read and meditate on the Bible. Here are four ways to help to love the Bible by young people.
1. Encourage young people to ask questions
If you want to understand things clearly, you have to ask questions. Questions are formed in the mind as proof that the ideas are understood. Young people need to ask each other questions such as why God created humans and what our role on earth is. We need to think about it and find the answer. Asking questions about the Bible is one way to gain a deeper understanding of the Word.
2. Teach young people that everyone is part of God’s plan
As they begin to study the Bible, young people first realize that it is a true story of salvation. So all their questions are answered in this story of salvation. They are all characters in the story of salvation.
3. Tell young people about the contents of the Bible
The Bible is not just a book. Rather, it is a collection of 72 books. So when they start reading the Bible, they think about where to start and what’s the difference between these books. Therefore, it is advisable to first teach young people about each book and its contents.
4. Convince young people that the Bible can help them find meaning in life
The Bible helps us to identify the true purpose of life and to give it the guidance it needs. It is when young people realize this truth that their Christian life actually begins. The Bible is the living Christ. The Bible teaches us not to be discouraged by the crises of life but to hold fast to the faith and move forward. Let our children be our companions everywhere we go, the Bible.
