The Vatican confirmed that Pope Francis will make two international apostolic trips in July 2022: one in Africa and the other in North America.
The Vatican published the calendar of the liturgical celebrations of the Pontiff for the months of June and July through the statement from the Holy See Press Office.
Pope Francis is scheduled to travel to Africa from July 2 to 7 to visit the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan, as well as for the Holy Father to travel to North America from July 24 to 30. July to visit Canada.
In addition, in this month of June, the Vatican calendar foresees that the Pope will preside over three Eucharists in the Vatican.
Next Sunday, June 5, the Solemnity of Pentecost, the Holy Father will celebrate a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Peter’s Basilica.
On June 25, the Pope will celebrate a Mass in St. Peter’s Square at 5:17 p.m. on the occasion of the World Meeting of Families.
Finally, on June 29, the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, patron saints of Rome, the Holy Father will preside at a Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica at 9:30 a.m. in which he will also bless the pallia of the new metropolitan archbishops who were appointed during the year, who will receive the pallium in their local dioceses.
