When we are always on edge of stress but the Bible counsels us otherwise. Anxiety and stress have a tendency to heighten our ill mood. However, that only escalates the situation, and will increase not only our own anxiety, but that of others. Tensions will continue to build, with no end in sight.
The Bible encourages us to think differently and to build each other up, instead of tearing each other down.
The following Bible verse should be our theme during any stressful time in our lives, especially when that stress affects people on a global level.
God did not destine us for wrath … Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up … cheer the fainthearted, support the weak, be patient with all. See that no one returns evil for evil; rather, always seek what is good [both] for each other and for all. (1 Thessalonians 5:9, 11, 14-15)
When we cheer each other and support the weak, the less our stress will dictate our actions we bring more peace we can bring into the world.
