“Violence against women is used as a weapon of war”, warns Pope Francis at the end of the Angelus prayer in Saint Peter’s Square on 27 November.
The Pope affirmed that unfortunately is a widespread and extended reality everywhere and is also used as a weapon of war.”
The Pope greeted the participants of a March held in Rome “to denounce sexual violence against women” and added that “unfortunately it is a widespread and extended reality everywhere and is also used as a weapon of war.”
Then, the Holy Father asked, “let us not get tired of saying no to war, no to violence, yes to dialogue, yes to peace; especially for the tormented Ukrainian people.”
“Let us pray for the victims and for the many children, women and the elderly who today suffer the martyrdom of the aggression,” Pope Francis concluded.
