Pope Francis congratulated the women within the framework of International Women’s Day at the end of the General Audience on 8 March.
Before the faithful who listened to him in St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican, the Holy Father assured this March 8 that he thinks “of all women.”
“I thank you for your commitment to building a more humane society, through your ability to capture reality with a creative eye and a tender heart,” he continued. In addition, the Pope defended that ” this is a privilege only for women .”
Finally, he directed a special blessing to all the women present in Saint Peter’s Square and later asked for a round of applause for all of them.
“They deserve it,” Pope Francis concluded before the ovation of the faithful present at the General Audience this Wednesday.
Likewise, through his official Twitter profile, the Holy Father asked that all women “be respected, protected, valued.”
“Attacking a woman and a mother is doing it to God himself, who took the human condition from a woman, from a mother,” he concluded.
