We have heard that there are patrons for families, young people, married people, monks, and people working in various fields. But not many people have heard of the saints to writers and journalists. They also have seven arbitrators, not one.
Many saints in the church have accepted God’s call in writing. Their writings inspired many to cultivate holiness. Here are the names of the seven saints:
1. St. John the Evangelist
St. John is known as the saint of the writers. His gospel is very important and full of profound divine revelations.
2. St. Peter Canisius
He is known as the saint of religious writers. His writings helped to restore and sustain the faith of the people of Europe.
3. St. Maximilian Kolbe
This saint is known as the saint of the media journalists. During World War II, he wrote numerous religious articles and published them in newspapers.
4. St. Francis de Sales
He is known as the patron saint of writers. His spiritual writings are still relevant today.
5. St. Clare of Assisi
St. Clare is the patron saint of the writers who write for television programs.
6. St. Paul the Apostle
The Apostle Paul is known as the saint of the writers. The letters were written by the Apostle Paul greatly aided the survival of the early church in the Christian faith.
7. St. Lucy
St. Lucy is known as the arbitrator of writers. This saint is also known as the special mediator of writers with the visual sense.
