The Bells of Notre Dame will Ring

The bells of Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral have will ringing from 8 December onwards since April 2019, when a devastating fire broke out in the spire and roof of the historic French church.

Notre Dame de Paris passed the important test on 10 November, Friday at around 10:30 a.m., just one month before its long-awaited reopening. Located in the cathedral’s north bell tower, which had been partially destroyed by the fire, the bells rang one at a time and then rang together.

Although authorities have not determined whether the fire was an accident, an initial investigation found it could have been caused by an electrical fault.
