Rosary Month: Hundreds will Gather in Zocalo, Mexico City

On 7 October 2023,  a group of Mexican men and women will honor the Virgin Mary by praying the Rosary as this is the Month of the Rosary.

At 5:00 p.m., starting from the Expiatory Temple of San Felipe de Jesús, in the Historic Center of Mexico City, they will carry out a procession towards the Plaza de la Constitución, popularly known as the capital’s “Zócalo.”

Once in the square, in front of which are the Metropolitan Cathedral of Mexico and the National Palace, they will pray the Rosary.

For the second consecutive year, after the success in 2022, the Catholic organization Rosarios de México, led this year by Víctor Kurt, promotes this activity that seeks to give thanks for the gifts granted through the intercession of the Virgin Mary.

“We Mexicans have been doubly blessed: first, by the apparitions of the Virgin of Guadalupe, and also by the appearance of the Virgin of the Rosary in the Battle of Lepanto (1571), because without that event Mexico would not exist,” explained Kurt in an interview with EWTN.

“I invite people who have already received some favor from the Virgin or those who are suffering and asking the Virgin for a special grace to march with us and to form a community celebrating” our Mother, expressed Víctor Kurt.
