Rev. Fr. Joseph Chovelikudiyil is the new Provincial Superior of MCBS Emmaus Province. Fr. Antony Kuttickal(Vicar Provincial, Social Apostolate and Education), Fr. George Vazhappallil (Missionary Apostolate), Fr. Thomas Mulapancheril (Eucharistic Apostolate) Fr. Devassia Makkiyil (Finance and Development), are the new Provincial Councillors.
The appointment of the new governing body was made at the Provincial Synaxis held at Emmaus Provincial House, Kottayam chaired by the Pontifical Delegate Bishop Mar Thomas Elavanal.
Missionary Congregation of Blessed Sacrament was established in Mallappally in 1933 by Rev. Fr. Mathew Alakkalam and Rev. Fr. Joseph Paredom and is doing active ministry in various states of India and around the world.
