Cardinal Leopoldo Brenes, the Archbishop of Managua, will ordain 10 new deacons today, 16 August 2023. The Nicaraguan cardinal will preside over the ordination Mass at 9:30 am (local time) in the Managua Cathedral.
The Archdiocese indicates that this ordination marks the beginning of the celebrations of the jubilee year for the 50 years of priesthood of Cardinal Brenes.
The seminarians who will be ordained are Pedro José Toledo, Carlos José Oviedo Hernández, Francisco José Gómez Hernández, Henry José Hernández Zapata, Orlando José Ruiz Vado, Alex Eduardo Pino Cruz, Alejandro Manuel Muñoz Sánchez, Diego Alejandro Tercero Castellón, Axel Giomar Rodríguez Flores and Francisco Alejandro Castellanos Flores.
