Pope Leo XIV has released his prayer intentions for 2026 through the Worldwide Prayer Network. Each month, Catholics worldwide are invited to pray for a specific intention, accompanied by a video message from the Pope.
Monthly Prayer Intentions:
-January: For prayer with the Word of God – Let us pray that praying with the Word of God nourishes our lives and brings hope to our communities, building a more fraternal and missionary Church.
– February: For children with incurable diseases – Let us pray for children and families affected by incurable diseases, receiving necessary medical care and support.
– March: For disarmament and peace – Let us pray for effective disarmament, especially nuclear disarmament, and world leaders choosing dialogue over violence.
– April: For priests in crisis – Let us pray for priests facing vocational crises, receiving accompaniment and community support.
– May: That everyone might have food – Let us pray for commitment to reducing food waste and ensuring quality food access.
– June: For the values of sports – Let us pray sports promote peace, respect, solidarity, and personal growth.
– July: For respect for human life – Let us pray for protection and respect of human life at all stages.
– August: For evangelization in the city – Let us pray for creative ways to proclaim the Gospel in urban areas.
– September: For the care of water – Let us pray for just and sustainable water management.
– October: For mental health ministry – Let us pray for establishing mental health ministry in the Church.
– November: For the proper use of wealth – Let us pray for using wealth for the common good and solidarity.
– December: For single-parent families – Let us pray for support and accompaniment for families experiencing parental absence.
