The visit marks the Pope’s first European trip and is part of a busy schedule of international journeys, including trips to Africa and Spain. The motto for the visit is “Je suis le Chemin, la Vérité et la Vie” (“I am the way, the truth, and the life”), emphasizing the Pope’s role as a bearer of Christ’s message.
The Pope will arrive by helicopter and meet with Prince Albert II, then address the Catholic community and young people. He will also preside over Mass at Stade Louis II, highlighting the strong bond between the Grimaldi family and the Vatican.
