Pope Francis will visit the Italian city of Trieste on 7 July. The Vatican published the program during the 50th Social Week of Catholics in Italy.
There he will be received by Cardinal Matteo Maria Zuppi, Archbishop of Bologna and President of the Italian Episcopal Conference; Mons. Luigi Renna, Archbishop of Catania and President of the Organizing Committee of the Social Weeks; Mons. Enrico Trevisi, Bishop of Trieste and other authorities.
Next, in the same centre, he will hold a meeting with the participants in the congress, from where he will give his first speech.
At the end of this first act, the Holy Father will meet at 9:15 am with ecumenical representatives, people from the academic world and with a group of migrants and the disabled.
At 10:30 am he will arrive at the so-called Unity Square of Italy, where he will preside over a Holy Mass.
After the celebration, the Holy Father will take off at 12:30 pm from the port of Trieste “Molo Audace” and will land at the Vatican at 2:00 pm.
