Pope Francis will Speak Spanish during his Visit to Canada

Pope Francis will speak in Spanish during his trip to Canada, confirmed by the Holy See Press Office about his 37th apostolic trip.

The usual speeches and homilies of the Pope are done in Italian. However, for this trip, which he himself has defined as “a penitential pilgrimage”, the Holy Father will speak in his mother tongue.

The Pope is scheduled to travel to the Canadian cities of Edmonton, Quebec and Iqaluit from July 24-29. There he will meet with members of Canadian indigenous groups, survivors of residential school abuse, and Catholics.
