Next Monday, April 25, Pope Francis will meet with more than 400 Missionaries of Mercy at the Vatican. The program is organized by the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization.
This audience with the Pope will take place within the framework of the third World Meeting of the Missionaries of Mercy, which is being held again after two years of the pandemic under the motto “The Missionary of Mercy: a sign of welcome”.
In addition to the audience with the Pope, the Missionaries will participate in different activities and workshops where they will be able to share their testimonies and also in the Divine Mercy Sunday Mass that Francis will publicly preside at Saint Peter’s Basilica next Sunday, 24 April.
The participants will come to Rome from different countries on five continents and there will also be some priests from Ukraine, who have been able to travel thanks to obtaining a special visa that has allowed them to leave the country at war.
There are now more than a thousand Missionaries of Mercy around the world, a number that has not stopped growing since Pope Francis instituted this special Ministry during the Jubilee of Mercy.
