Pope Francis Asks Prayers for Victims of Flood in Vietnam and the Haitian Population living in Extreme Conditions 

Pope Francis asked for the victims of the flood in Vietnam and the population of Haiti who lives in extreme conditions and asked the international community to support this country and not leave it alone. The Holy Father mentioned the country and its suffering seeing the testimony of a Camille missionary in Haiti on television.

“How much suffering, how much pain there is in this land, and how much abandonment. Let’s pray together for Haiti, let us not abandon them,” the Pope said and later wrote on his  Twitter account.

At the end of the Sunday Angelus on October 31, Pope Francis prayed for the victims of the recent flood in Vietnam. “My prayers and thoughts go out to the many families who are suffering, along with my encouragement to all those, the authorities of the country and the local Church, who are working to respond to this emergency,” said the Pope. Heavy rains destroyed hundreds of hectares of corps, thousands of families have been evacuated because their houses have been flooded.
