Pope Francis’ Prayer Intentions for the Year 2025

The Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network has released the Holy Father’s list of intentions for 2025.

Every month, Pope Francis asks Catholics worldwide to pray for a particular intention. This initiative is a video in which the Pontiff explains the reasons why he has chosen that particular intention.

Below is the complete list of Pope Francis’ prayer intentions for the coming year 2025:

January: for the Rght to Education

Let us pray that migrants, refugees and those affected by war may always see their right to education, which is necessary for building a better world, respected.

February: For Vocations to the Priestly and Religious Life

Let us pray that the ecclesial community may welcome the desires and doubts of young people who feel called to serve Christ’s mission in priestly and religious life.

March: For Families in Crisis

Let us pray that divided families may find in forgiveness the healing of their wounds, rediscovering even in their differences the riches of each one.

April: For the Good Use of New Technologies

Let us pray that the use of new technologies does not replace human relations, that it respects the dignity of people, and that it helps to confront the crises of our time.

May: Due to Working Conditions:

Let us pray that through work each person may be fulfilled, families may be supported with dignity, and society may be humanized.

June: To Grow in Compassion for the World

Let us pray that each of us may find consolation in our personal relationship with Jesus and learn from His Heart compassion for the world.

July: For Formation for Discernment

Let us pray that we may learn more and more to discern, to know how to choose paths of life and to reject everything that distances us from Christ and the Gospel.

August: For Common Coexistence

Let us pray that societies in which coexistence seems most difficult do not succumb to the temptation of confrontation for ethnic, political, religious or ideological reasons.

September: For our Relationship with all Creation

Let us pray that, inspired by St. Francis, we may experience our interdependence with all creatures, loved by God and worthy of love and respect.

October: For Collaboration between Different Religious Traditions

Let us pray that believers of different religious traditions may work together to defend and promote peace, justice and human brotherhood.

November: For the Prevention of Suicide

Let us pray that people struggling with suicidal thoughts will find the support, care and love they need in their community and open themselves to the beauty of life.

December: For Christians in Conflict Contexts

Let us pray that Christians living in contexts of war or conflict, especially in the Middle East, may be seeds of peace, reconciliation and hope.
