He entrusted the souls of the deceased to God’s mercy and prayed for the civil authorities as they provide assistance. Pope Francis also invoked blessings of strength, peace, and consolation for those affected by the tragedy.
The fire occurred at the Hillside Endarasha Academy boarding school on September 6, resulting in 17 fatalities and 14 injuries. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
