Pope Francis shared with his followers on Twitter a prayer in honor of the Virgen del Carmen, whose liturgical feast is celebrated this Saturday, July 16.
Below is the prayer published by the Holy Father.
O Mary, Star of the Sea, Mother of God and
our Mother, direct your sweet gaze on those who
daily face the danger of the sea to guarantee
sustenance for their families, to protect respect for
creation, to serve peace among peoples.
Shelter of sinners, get converted
from the heart of those who generate war, hatred and
poverty.
Model of charity, bless men and
women of good will who welcome and serve the
migrants and refugees: that the love received and
donated be the seed of new fraternal ties and
dawn of a world of peace.
