Opening Prayer:
O Holy Infant Jesus of Prague, behold us prostrate at Thy feet imploring Thy blessing and assistance. We firmly believe in Thy goodness, Thy love, and Thy mercy. We also know that the more we honor Thee, the more Thou wilt bless us. Remember that thou hast told us to ask, to seek, and to knock at the Door of Thy Infinite Mercy. So it is with the greatest confidence that we kneel before Thee today. Teach us how to ask that we may receive; show us how o seek what we find. Be pleased to listen while we knock, O Divine Infant Jesus, and open Thy loving Heart to our trustful supplication. Amen.
O Mary, Mother of God, and our Immaculate Mother pray to Jesus for us.
MEDITATION
The Love Of The Infant Jesus
for Mankind
“For God so loved the world as to give His Only Begotten Son that whosoever
Believeth in him may not perish but may have life everlasting” (John 3:16)
The Infant Jesus loves us with everlasting love. Each one of us has been present to His mind from all eternity. And, when the fullness of time had come, Jesus assumed human flesh and was born of the Virgin Mary. Why did Jesus become man? To save us from sin and everlasting death. Indeed, innumerable are the proofs of the love of Jesus for mankind. During His life on earth, He lived in poverty, suffered hunger, and thirst, and was very often lacking the ordinary necessities of life. In what specific ways did Jesus prove his love for us. By hard labor, by suffering contradictions, and by being betrayed; betrayed by one of his very own!
Indeed the heart of Jesus is all love! What greater proof of love could He have manifested for us than by remaining always in the Holy Eucharist? Though Our Divine Redeemer has gone to His Heavenly Father, He still remains with us. He is always in our midst; for His delight is to be with the children of men. Only the Heart of a loving Jesus could have devised such a wonderful plan! Not only does he remain with us but He comes into our hearts and abides in our souls. Every day of our life on earth we are privileged to receive Jesus as the nourishment of our souls. We can be intimately united with Him as one.
In proving his tremendous love for us, not only did the Infant Jesus condescend to be born as the Man-God, to suffer and to shed every drop of His Precious Blood in our behalf, but He has made himself our Daily Bread. He dwells within us and transforms us into Himself. So inseparably united to Jesus are we, that after Holy Communion each of us can truly say: “I live now, not I, but Christ liveth in me.!”
Let us thank the Infant Jesus for his surpassing goodness to us by making frequent acts of love, from the depths of our hearts. More than all, let us strive to return love for love by faithfully serving Him. This we can do by fulfilling all his precepts and commandments that are made known to us through the Catholic Church. “Love is repaid by love alone.”
CONCLUDING PRAYER
Eternal Father, I offer to Thine honor and glory, for my eternal salvation and for the salvation of the world, the Mystery of the Infancy of Thy Only-Begotten Son, Jesus Christ Our Lord. We thank Thee for thy infinite love in sending Him into this world as our Savior and Redeemer. And Thou, O Holy Infant Jesus, conceived in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary, through the operation of the Holy Spirit, teach me to love thee, daily more and more. If it is for thy greater honor and glory and the salvation of my soul, I humbly implore thee to grant my earnest petition of this Novena ( Here mention petition). Sweet Infant Jesus, I place my confidence in Thee, Amen.
O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Infant Jesus, and our Immaculate Mother, pray for us.
Pater, Ave, Gloria (once)
O Holy Infant Jesus, I love thee!
