The Archbishop of Managua asked to pray for all those who suffer from Hurricane Julia, which has already made landfall in Nicaragua.
Cardinal Leopoldo Brenes said that, “We ask our Mother the Blessed Virgin Mary for her intercession before our good God for all the brothers who are currently experiencing the force of the hurricane, so that their lives may be respected by this natural phenomenon.”
“Temporary things can be solved, but life is always important, so we pray for them and hopefully it will be a rain and not affect the lives of our brothers through that channel through which the hurricane will pass,” said Cardinal Brenes.
Hurricane Julia, with winds of up to 140 kilometers per hour, made landfall on the coast of Nicaragua, according to the United States National Hurricane Center.
The route of the hurricane could affect more than 800,000 people in Nicaragua, where people have already begun to be evacuated, indicates Infobae.
The places that could be most affected are Bluefields and the mouth of the Coco River, in Cabo Gracias a Dios, in the border area with Honduras.
