Let your Words Be a Medicine

A storm can wreck even a ship. But it cannot untie a rope. Anger destroys everything. However, it cannot solve a problem. Many people find it difficult to make the virtue of patience a part of their lives. Patience is a death knell for some. If an ‘apology’ can heal a wound, the only good thing you can do is not to strike with words. If we combine patience with life, we can face any big crisis in life with self-control. If we want to be mature in our thoughts, words and actions, we must have patience. If one of our patient words can be a great opening for someone else’s life, then we should be patient with others with maturity.
Words have two characteristics. They give life an aura of prosperity, just as ill-timed words give a dullness of discouragement. There is nothing more powerful than words to light the candle of awakening in another’s life, as well as knock out the light in him.
Spoken words live longer than passing humans. Remember, some words are life-changing. May our words be the grace that helps to build and cultivate. Let’s not forget Christ’s statement that you will be judged by your words.
Thoughtless words can wound us deeply – sometimes leaving severe wounds – that go deeper and last longer than the scars inflicted by a stone or a stick.
We use first aid when there is an injury in the body. At the same time, if there is a wound or injury to the mind, we will try to make it worse instead of trying to heal it. The mind is as important as the body. Failure, disappointment, neglect, losses in life, and the words that others throw at us become a wound in our minds. Experts say that if you ignore the wounds caused by words, it will definitely ruin your mind and its stability.  Such injury can cause depression and illness.
Many people have told us that nothing is good with you. But we should avoid getting tired in our life with accusations of words like this.
Write down your qualities in a diary. Try to realize that you are a worthy person. Open your heart to loved ones who radiate positivity. Try to say only positive words. Create and maintain good relationships. One should also spend time with loved ones in a happy atmosphere. These are all things that help us heal the wounds of words. However, we can understand the feelings and thoughts of others just like ourselves and be patient and try not to hurt anyone with words.
