Lebanon Needs Solidarity of Faithful: Says Bishop

The general secretary of the Polish Episcopal Conference, Bishop Artur Mizinski, indicated that Lebanon needs more than ever the solidarity of the faithful, in the framework of the XIII Day of Solidarity with the Persecuted Church.

“This date “is a reminder and awareness of the needs of our brothers and sisters who live in the Middle East”, said the Prelate in a press conference.

“It is important to help the people – of Lebanon this year – where they are so that they do not have to wander in search of help,” he emphasized.

The Day of Solidarity with the Persecuted Church was established by the decision of the Polish Episcopal Conference in 2008. Usually, it is celebrated every year on the second Sunday of November. This year this special day organized by the Pontifical Foundation Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) will be held on November 14 under the slogan “Solidarity with Lebanon.”
