Inculcate Spiritual Growth in Your Child

It is essential to instill in your children solid habits and regular practices that will help their
character-building and faith-formation. We should train our children and enable them to live and move about in this world with strong faith. What would be the best ways to train them in matters of faith? It could be a rather simple but important action plan; you should be able to practice a few faith skills in your own lives and help them to imbibe them in their own lives.

May be you are a bit confused? You can do the following activities that will help them grow
closer to the Lord on a daily basis!

Pray Together

Be with your children and join them in our daily prayer. Allow them to hear you talk about
God. You might have some prayer requests that can be asked together, and later you should be able to discuss with them how God answered your prayer.

An Action of Gratitude

You may have lots of ideas, but here is a simple way to share your spirituality with your
children. Enable them to open their eyes to everything that God has provided for them. A
grateful heart helps see issues in your life more like opportunities. Opportunities to boast
about what God has done for us and what He has blessed us with.

Build up a Mentality of Service

Allow your children to understand God by letting them serve others. Even at a younger age
children can start making gifts, visiting others, and making cards as thoughtful gestures of
love and care. As they grow up, they can serve and help more in the community by working with local food banks and other charitable associations. As a family, you can teach them how to have compassion for others and serve those in need.

Learn Together

Your child definitely might ask tougher questions on faith. As you attempt to answer, you
may find that your own faith gets challenged. But in the end, you will hopefully gain a clearer understanding of exactly what you believe and why. And remember, when there seems to be no answer to satisfy them, don’t be afraid to say, “I don’t know.”

Be a Model

Remember always, what you want to make of your kid in the future, first you should become that kind of person. You should be a living example for kind of persons you want them to become. Behave with kindness, compassion, and forgiveness, and allow them to see your struggles too, and apologizing when you are wrong. Tell your child what you believe about God. It is important to remember that our children really do believe and take to heart how we live rather than what we tell them.
