How to Minimize the Use of Mobile Phones at Home

Today, the mobile phone is an object that is always in the hands of parents and children, whether at home, at school or at work. It is a good idea to check yourself how much time we use social media a day. There are a lot of good and bad things being shared through social media. The vast majority of people today lose all of their time and great opportunities by sinking on the mobile screen.

Excessive use of social media can lead to a loss of time for family members to reunite, conversations, and interpersonal relationships. Today’s families include children and parents who use their mobile phones while eating and praying. If you are willing to control some things and say ‘no’ to some, you can regain the lost connection, happiness and laughter in the family. Here are some suggestions:

 1. Get into the habit of talking that enhances the bond of love together as a family. Turn gatherings into venues for telling jokes and having fun.

 2. Spend more time caring for flowers, vegetables, and pets, or just drawing, reading, and painting.

 3. Turn off social media for one hour a day, one day a week, and one week a year. It is a good idea for family members to eat, pray, and have fun together at least once a day.

 4. Use mobile screen only at school and at home when it is unavoidable. Especially do not use it when family members are all together.

 5. Use mobile phone with children in situations other than personal needs.

 6. Talk to each other on trips. Do not use the phone unless absolutely necessary.

 7. Restrict the use of social media of children.

 8. Make opportunities for family members to come together as a training ground on how to grow more positively.
