How a History Teacher Became a Lieutenant in Ukrainian Military

Women prove that they can choose any of the professions in their life if they have a passion. Along with their desire, they always consider their likes and dislikes of the family too while choosing their profession. Here is a story of a Ukrainian mom cum historian who became a lieutenant in the army as a plan of God in the scenario of the war.

Liubov Plaksiuk was a history teacher who folded her desire to join the army in her last pages of wishes. But she learned history to make history in her own life as she became the first female head of the artillery unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Plaksiuk had dreamed of a military career when she was a girl but was forced to abandon the idea after meeting with opposition from relatives. She is also the mother of a 7-year-old son.

Realizing her childhood goal of defending her country, joined the armed force when the war in Ukraine began. And now she has made her own mark on history as the first woman to lead a Ukrainian artillery unit.

It was her brave stand on behalf of her homeland that calls to mind the courage that saints like Joan of Arc displayed. Heading a military unit calls for extraordinary leadership, and Plaksiuk rose to the challenge with admirable grace.
