Holy Mother of Perfection

They had been traveling all night to cross the desert to Egypt with the baby in their arms to save its life. It was noon when they reached their destination.  All the fear and sorrow that had been frozen in her heart had already begun to melt well in the heat of the sun of the desert;  Mary began to cry. Her husband, Joseph, tries to comfort her by saying, “Mary, we’re safe.”  But Joseph’s attempts to alleviate her grief failed. Mary’s sorrow was: “I ‘m thinking of Bethlehem.

It is part of the 1999 film Mary Mother of Jesus. A beautiful movie depicting the life of Jesus through the eyes of Mary.

Here is a visual display of the broad-minded thoughts of a mother named Mary who thinks higher than a normal girl. An extraordinary woman named Mary, who had to flee with her baby, but who was heartbroken by the deadly pain of the mothers of the children killed by Herod ‘s soldiers in Bethlehem. No one but Mary, who is so compassionate and open-hearted, can adorn the position and duty of the Mother of the Son of God!

The mother must not have allowed the host to be humiliated in front of others at the wedding party in Cana, perhaps because she had made the great virtue of mercy as a part of her life. She is a woman who had enough sources of mercy in her life. She is very simple as we read in the Bible; One without delicacies. But Mary was never like that. Seen from a distance, the deep clear water of the mother reservoir may seem like a mirage. Only when we live through her meditating on what she needs to look at and understand, can we realize how good and serious the status of that title ‘Mother of Jesus’ is.

We are familiar with the life of the Blessed Mother. But we must understand how beautifully the mother of Jesus, the Savior of the world, fulfilled her life and the great willingness of the sacrifice that woman made for it. At the same time, as we strive to grow in the scope of that life, we will be able to understand the insignificance of the challenges in our lives.

The month of October, when we meditate on our mother in a special way through the rosary, is the 31 days that gives us a great sense of faith. It is only through the rosary that we can understand the many-dimensional image of Jesus painted by that great artist, the Holy Mother, herself as a canvas. Because the pains and anxieties of the woman who had summed it all up in her heart were not so small. She had only intrusive circumstances for companionship. Normally no mother would be satisfied with the answer, “Why did you seek Me? Did you know that I must be about My Father’s business?” (Luke 02:49). But Mary was not a mother like that. She kept everything in her heart in silence. She was quite convinced that there were no easy ways to get through. It must have reminded his son many times from a young age. Mary would have prepared her son ten times more than she had prepared in prayer for her son. Otherwise, Jesus could never have endured such terrible persecution with such a readiness. That is why it is said that Mary is not a book that should be easily read by a simple woman.

Why is Rosary a Mystery?

All the meditative subjects in the rosary are the life of Jesus. But the rosary is also dedicated to the Blessed Mother. This is because Jesus’ meditative thoughts on life passed through the presence of the Blessed Mother. That is why each event is called a ‘mystery’. Let us examine the practicality of presenting the life of the Son of God, the man who led such a public life, under the title Mystery.

All rosary thoughts are things that need to be deeply meditated on. Only then will we truly have beautiful semantic levels of spirituality. Each time the hidden ‘secrets’ become clearer to us. It is then that the life of Jesus becomes more of a core possibility that can be recorded on heart plaques than a history.

The music of the wind can only be known in silence. The same is true of the Holy Mother.  It is a beautiful poem that is revealed to us only through meditation. A very beautiful poem that carries the beauty of perfection in every word …!

Mother of Jesus – Ours too

Let’s take another look at the movie Mary Mother of Jesus. There is a scene after the crucifixion of Christ. Mary comes with John approaching the other disciples who were hiding in a room. “Where were you?” She asked them seriously. They had many reasons to say, but they knew it was not fair.

‘What should we do now?’ one among them asked her. Mary continues the great mission he began with the question of the disciple of Christ. The mystery of the Lord’s life is being completed  through the Mother with the help of the Holy Spirit, who is strengthened in prayer with her hands clasped.

This is where the worship of the mother changes. Perhaps the blessing of that mother, who worked for her son’s goal by keeping together the disciples who would have been scattered with fear, is essential in our lives as well.  Even when she goes through pain, her inner divinity is nowhere to be found. Mary could have expressed her motherhood’s selfishness and weaknesses. That is why Mary is described as a perfect woman with no flaws. That is why her extraordinary courage and compassion are equally evident.

Like the Holy Mother, we must carry Jesus in our hearts and lives. That is when the mother will make each of us complete the saving work of Jesus. Let us meditate during this rosary month for the special blessing for that. Festal Greetings of the Immaculate Conception…!
