Finding true strength from the hope in God allows us to recognize and overcome the frailty, said Pope Francis Sunday speaking to pilgrims gathered in St. Peter’s Square from the window of the Vatican’s Apostolic Palace.
“This is how we become great: not in the illusory pretense of our self- sufficiency , this does not make anyone great, but in the strength of placing all our hope in the Father, just as the little ones do,” the Pope said. The Holy father sought the blessings from Virgin Mary for that smallness: to be children who trust the Father. He pointed out that Christina disciples must not only serve ‘the little ones’ but also acknowledge their own smallness.
Pope Francis said that recognizing one’s own frailty allows for the possibility for growth in faith by facing the challenges of life. Pontiff encouraged the faithful to seek Jesus in caring for the poor and the sick.
