The American priest David Michael Moses recalled the joy of being acolyte together in childhood with his younger brother who married on 15 April. Father David is known for confessing for several hours straight to the faithful.
“My younger brother and I spent years serving at the altar together. On Saturday we were together again at the altar, but this time I was a priest and he was getting married, ”Fr. Moses commented on his social media of him.
“God’s plans are a beautiful thing. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Moses!” he added.
The marriage was celebrated in the church of St. Mary, in the city of Hallettsville, Texas (United States). The temple considered the oldest rural Catholic parish in the state, is made of wood and has a neo-Gothic style.
In a video posted on Instagram, Fr. Moses can be seen surrounded by his loved ones, first celebrating Mass at the altar and then dancing at the reception with his parents, cousins, nephews and friends.
Fr. David Michael Moses is 29 years old and grew up in Houston, Texas. He started college when he was just 14 years old and graduated with a bachelor’s degree at the age of 18.
He had got admission to several law schools, but eventually felt called to the priesthood and entered the seminary of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
At the age of 25, he was ordained in 2019 and is now a parochial vicar at Christ the Good Shepherd in Spring, Texas.
Father Moses, in addition to being very active and having several followers on the Internet, has developed his talent in music by giving a series of “Concerts for Life”, with which in the past he has raised more than 400 thousand dollars for groups prolife of the city
He is also known because in recent years he has made confessions for long hours that exceed 10 hours. In Holy Week 2023, for example, he announced that he had confessed to 1,167 people, spending around 65 hours in the confessional.
