Faithful Prayed the Holy Rosary in Front of an Abortion Center in Colombia

On Saturday, many faithful gathered and prayed in front of the Oriéntame abortion center, in the Teusaquillo neighborhood of Bogotá, praying the Rosary and asking God for an end to the practice that ends the lives of children not born in Colombia.

It was an initiative that was also carried out in Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena, Cúcuta, and Medellín, and was convened by the Rosario de Hombres, Provida Latam, Radio María, the Tren de la Vida, among other organizations.

David Pérez, one of the coordinators of the Rosario de Hombres in Colombia, explained that the objective was “to make a public demonstration against three rulings of the Constitutional Court.”

In the call, the organizers refer to rulings C-294 of 2019 “which allows the use of tissues from aborted babies by clinics that profit from the business of death”, and C-055 of 2022, which liberalized abortion until 24 weeks of gestation and up to 9 months according to the three causes established in 2006.

As well as against ruling SU-096 of 2018. “We march to defend disabled babies who are unfairly discriminated against and to whom eugenics is applied due to their disability,” the call indicates.

David Pérez indicated that in Bogotá about 200 people participated, who began to pray the Marian prayer in front of “the Profamilia abortion center.” Later “we went to another abortion center called Oriéntame, where we finished praying the Holy Rosary,” he said.

Lay people, nuns and priests participated in the pro-life demonstration, such as Father Sebastián Sánchez, who “made a series of prayers and exorcisms, asking for aborted children, those massacred in these death centers.”

The march culminated in the Plaza de Bolívar, in the center of Bogotá, where the leaders of the organizing organizations gave speeches in favor of the defense of life.
