Mons. Demetrio Fernandez, the Bishop of Córdoba (Spain), recalled that the feast of Epiphany is a missionary feast that encourages us to proclaim Jesus Christ to all nations.
“In the liturgy of this day, we celebrate the manifestation (epiphany) of the Lord to all nations. Jesus Christ has come into the world not only for a few, he has come for all and wants to enter the hearts of all if those of us who already know him are capable of announcing him to others with our lives and with our words. Today, therefore, is a missionary feast, which prompts us to announce Jesus Christ ”, expressed the Spanish bishop.
In fact, Bishop Fernández recalled that the Pontifical Mission Societies propose that on January 6 the Day of the native catechist also be celebrated.
