Empower Our Kids in Crises

Each of us has a responsibility to train our children to cope with situations with Jesus in moments of exhaustion. For that, we can try to develop some good habits with our children.

1. Find time each day for family prayer

The family prayers may not be interrupted. Finding time for it, even when you are busy or traveling, can set a good example for your children. Their father and mother are two important personalities that children see and grow in life. There is no doubt that children will appreciate the importance that parents place on their faith.

2. Personal prayers may be encouraged

Encourage children to find time to talk to Jesus as if they were good friends. Children can be introduced to personal prayer as a lovable exchange between two loved ones.

3. Introduce the biographies of the saints

Children can be introduced to the biographies of those who were elevated to the status of holiness through ordinary lives. During the holidays you can plan to visit places of worship and travel to places like museums. It’s a good idea to spend time with your children reading biographical books or watching videos, such as Documentaries of the Saints. All of these help children to learn many lessons, such as how to keep faith close to life and how to overcome adversity with Jesus.

4. Sunday as a family can participate in Holy Mass

Attending Holy Mass with your children will save them from many troubles. Parents who grieve over the fact that my child does not live to be a Catholic today should think about how often they could go to attend Mass with their kids. What efforts I have made to build the faith of my son or daughter? Our faith and our family’s faith should not be confined to one Christmas or Easter. May we be able to sacrifice to Jesus together at least once a week.

5. Spend time in the parish after the Sunday Mass

The good personalities of the parish are likely to influence the children in many ways. After Holy Communion, we can spend time with our parish as a family. Children may be encouraged to become members of the Parish Library. May we be able to work in organizations and mold our children into good personalities who serve the country and the community.
