Catherine was born on 21 January 1839, in a Neapolitan family. Her parents took special care to give her the perfect Catholic faith.
Catherine began to think of engaging in apostolic work to renew her love for Jesus in her heart, family, and community. On 1 July 1874, Catherine co-founded the new church of the Servant of Sacred Heart with her colleagues. The church soon received the approval of the Cardinal of Naples and later Pope Leo XIII. Soon after, the orphanage of Catherine Margaret was started. Later a library and other houses were started in Naples. Church members became famous for their ministry of cholera.
On 14 May 1884, the new Metropolitan of Naples dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus the Cathedral of Catherine, built by Catherine. Catherine died in Naples on 24 December 1894.
