STORMY DAYS
A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped (Mark 4:37).
World is not a safe haven because of the presence and influence of evil in it. “Violent Storm” can be a symbol of challenges of daily life like temptations, dangers, stress, loneliness, sickness, failures, break-ups in relationships etc. Faith of the disciples wavers in such situations. Thus, our belief/trust/faith in the Lord does not guarantee a life that is free from cries or ‘storms’.
But we are assured that Jesus Our Lord is present in the various storms (sicknesses) of our life. The calming (healing) of storms happens when we awaken the presence of the Lord with us with our childlike trust! Amen.
