INHERENT DIVINE FORCE
It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds perched in its branches” (Luke 13:19).
‘Mustard Seed’ and ‘Yeast’ are two tiny and insignificant things but they are used as metaphors by Jesus to present the Kingdom of God. Both follow a common law; “law of spontaneous expansion.” Both contain in them a force which produces great changes in their environment.
Likewise, the Kingdom of God has an inherent dynamic force; reign of God. It also follows the law of spontaneous expansion. Reign of God expands from one human heart to another. No good deed is little in the eyes of God because it tends to expand! All good words or deeds, even good thoughts have an inherent power to expand.
According to Oregen, “Jesus is the greatest personification of the Kingdom of God”! Gospel reminds us to be a personification of God’s reign through our good words and deeds or even though thoughts. Amen!
