A Catholic priest used the word ‘massacre’ on the attack against Christians in Nigeria’s northern Kaduna State. The attack was against the native people, many of whom are Christian. It is estimated that 49 people, including women and children were killed in two- hour attack. The responsibility of attack was taken by Muslim Fulani herdsman who came in large numbers and began shooting at anything on sight.
At least 20 houses were burned down in the attack, said the priest. After the inversion of Boko Haram in 2009, Nigeria has experienced rising insecurity. They fight to turn Africa as a Muslim country. The situation has further been complicated by the involvement of the Muslim Fulani herdsmen, who have clashed frequently with Christian farmers over grazing land. Pope Francis condemned and raised his prayer on this matter last day.
