Bible Verses for a Spiritual Retreat

Meditation is essential for living a better life. Sometimes, we use the term “retreat,” which means withdrawing our mind and body from the world to spend quality time with God. This re-treating process allows us to rejuvenate, reflect, and reconnect with our inner selves and a higher power, leading to a more balanced and fulfilling life. Here are some Bible verses for us to meditate on.

Psalm 23:1-6
The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Psalm 42:1-2
As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?

Psalm 62:5
Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him.

Psalm 80:18-19

give us life, and we will call upon your name!
Restore us, O Lord God of hosts
Let your face shine, that we may be saved!

for the Lord has been good to you.

a rule for this, a rule for that;
a little here, a little there—

they will be injured and snared and captured.

And there she shall answer as in the days of her youth,
as at the time when she came out of the land of Egypt.
