A picture of a four-year-old cancer-stricken boy was viral on social media about a couple of years ago. It was the photograph that a baby girl, rubbing the back of her younger brother while vomiting in the washroom. On April 25, 2018, Beckett Burge, a four-year-old boy, was diagnosed with pre-B acute Lymphoblastic leukemia. Vomiting from the bathroom during chemotherapy days; his little elder sister, Aubrey, is rubbing the back of the closet. Although heartbreaking, their mother, Kaitlin, posted the picture on social media. For one thing, to let the world know how much childhood cancer affects a family. This picture alone was enough for that.
More than two years later, Beckett’s two birthdays have passed. Several petals of holidays shed, and Baby Beckett underwent a number of chemotherapy treatments.
Two years of pain and suffering. That can be simply said, it will only be two years. But the single picture posted by the mother that day shows that the child and his family went through endless moments of suffering. However, Beckett’s treatment was completed on October 15 at the Children’s Medical Center Plano in Texas, USA.
“It has been a long journey. We’re so excited to say the least. Aubrey has been a great trooper.” Becket’s mother wrote.
The cancer survivor says that he was able to overcome this dilemma because of the presence and consideration of his sister. “She always stands up for me whenever I had cancer,”  says baby Beckett.
What Beckett and his family are giving the world is a great message of hope. Beckett is going to school every day. Participates in baseball competitions. He now enjoys all the joys lost in his ordeal. Â He is energetically doing whatever he wants.
“If the children in the family or their own family members have been diagnosed with cancer, we will only say, ‘Keep fighting. There is light at the end of every tunnel. Keep your head up. Take it one day at a time,” said Kaitlin Burge.
Beckett’s life teaches us how love, care, and prayer, along with medication and treatment, can help us survive cancer.
