African nun Inés Paulo Albino, ASC, Councilor of the Institute of the Sisters Adorers of the Blood of Christ, was appointed by the Pope as the new general secretary of the Pontifical Society of Missionary Childhood.
According to the Vatican Press Office, Sister Inés Paul Albino was born on 25 April 1969, in Bula (Guinea-Bissau). She is 55 years old.
She made her perpetual profession in the Institute of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ on 14 September 1997.
She obtained a Licentiate in Biblical Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. She has been pastor of the parish of Santa Maria de Mattias in Ingoré and national director of the Pontifical Missionary Works in Guinea-Bissau.
He has worked in the fields of evangelization, catechesis, teaching and youth apostolate.
Since 2022, she has been a Councillor and Treasurer of the Italian region of her religious institute.
The website of Missionary Childhood in Spain explains that “Missionary Childhood is a Work of the Pope that promotes mutual aid among the children of the world” with “missionary activities in schools and catechism with which to educate children in faith and solidarity with the mission.”
“He also invites children to personally contribute their savings to the children in the missions. Children help children,” he added.
