“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” (Luke 02:10)
The shepherds were chosen at first to convey the matter of good tidings of great joy which shall be to all people. The Lord values their innocence, poverty, and humility. Let us bring the thought into our minds that the poverty of the stable of Bethel and the innocence of shepherds together recreate heaven on the earth.
