Dear Lord, thank you for our mother, Mary.
In haste, Mary set out to visit her cousin.
She was attentive to the needs of another
without regard for herself.
May I learn to be more attentive to the need of others in my life.
In joy Mary shared with Elizabeth God’s goodness to her.
She proclaimed the greatness of God with her entire being.
May I proclaim Your greatness, Lord, daily in my life.
Mary went to serve with love.
She cared for her cousin in Elizabeth’s time of need.
May I serve others with love and care out of my love for You, O Lord.
Mary did not hold back in praising You, O Lord.
She told of Your love and mercy from age to age.
May I never tire of praising You and sharing Your goodness with others.
Just as Mary did, may my being always “proclaim the greatness of the Lord,”
and may my spirit always find “joy in God my savior.”
May I always know in my heart and live the truth that
“God who is mighty has done great things for me”
and “Holy is His name.”
