Commitment, selflessness, patience, and a boatload of unconditional love is the basic aspects of being a mother. It’s a lot of hard, often thankless work to raise a child, which is why the mothers in your life deserve to be honored this Mother’s Day (and every day!). There are many traditional ways of saying thank you — like giving a Mother’s Day gift or card and making breakfast in bed. But for an added thoughtful touch for the religious moms in your life, nothing says “I love you” quite like a meaningful prayer. Catholic news shares some Mother’s Day Bible verses celebrating moms and all that they do.
“But be on guard and watch yourselves closely so that you don’t forget the things your eyes saw and so they never leave your mind as long as you live. Teach them to your children and your grandchildren.”
(Deut 04:09)
“But the boy’s mother said, “I swear by your life and by the Lord’s life, I won’t leave you!'” (2Kings 04:30)

(Proverbs 25:23)
“Her children bless her; her husband praises her: ‘Many women act competently, but you surpass them all!'”(Proverbs 31:28-29)

“Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction; don’t neglect your mother’s teaching; for they are a graceful wreath on your head, and beads for your neck.”(Proverbs 1:8-9)
