Growing is a process and it happens naturally even though you are conscious and unconscious of it. But somehow spiritual growth is entirely different than physical growth. Spiritual growth results from trusting that Jesus is living in and through you. The righteous will live by faith (Galatians 3:11).
A life of faith will enable you to trust God increasingly with every detail of your life and to practice the following:
Go to God in Prayer Daily
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you(John 15:7).
Read God’s Word Daily
Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true (Acts 17:11).
Obey God Every Moment
Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him (John 14:21).
Witness for Christ by Your life and Words
Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 4:19). This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples (John 15:8).
Trust God for Every Detail of Your Life
Cast all your anxiety on him [God] because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
Trust the Holy Spirit to Direct and Empower You
So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other so that you do not do what you want (Galatians 5:16-17).
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).
