Treating people well is an art. many of us are more curious about treating people. But most of us are able to socialize with the people we meet for the first time. What to say and how to deal with love pulls them back. Every Christian has a great responsibility to pour out the love of Christ to those who meet us. Let us examine how we can treat others well in this situation.
We can try to see others through the eyes of Christ
Let us try to see others through the eyes of Christ. His life teaches us how to do that. Who was Christ to the sick? What was his attitude toward those in pain? What was Christ’s view of those who approached him? Think of Christ’s style of dealing with the poor and needy. Think about how we are with such people. Examine yourself to see if a change is necessary. May we learn from Christ how to treat others. It is easy to meet the external needs of others. But can we leave a trace of God’s love in their minds?
A change in perspective is inevitable
Instead of thinking that when we interact with others they should consider us, take the initiative to consider others first. May we value those who love our brothers. Instead of expecting others to come to us, try to compliment our friends. In short, it takes effort on our part to give others the love and attention that Christ desires.
May our attitude toward the people we see, our neighbors, and our friends lead them to the love of Christ. Thus we can become good people who spread God’s love. May those who approach us recognize the love of Christ through our good behavior.
